Job summary

Wheeler Clinic seeks a Senior Counselor to deliver comprehensive, home-based services to families involved with DCF in Manchester, CT. You will support safety, stability and functioning while training others and coordinating with schools and community providers.

The role offers a $4,000 sign-on bonus and an hourly rate of $23.08, with full-time hours and extensive employee benefits to support health and career development.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.
• Experience with clients with mental health and/or co-occurring substance use disorders.
• Strong time management and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Develops case management plans and coordinates care for assigned families.
• Provide crisis support via phone, in-home or community settings.
• Deliver counseling to individuals, families, and groups under supervision.
• Maintain documentation per Medicaid/licensing and program requirements.
• Coordinate with internal and external providers and family supports.
