Job summary

The Wheeler Clinic in Bristol, CT is seeking a Senior Counselor to provide direct services, case management and coordination of care for an assigned caseload. You will liaise with family, DCF, school, probation and other supports, and may facilitate groups as part of standard practice.

Salary is $48,000 with a $2,500 sign-on bonus paid in two installments; full-time schedule with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, a 403(b) plan, education

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling or related field is required.
• Experience with clients with mental health and/or co-occurring substance use disorders.
• Effective time management and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct services and case management for an assigned caseload.
• Facilitates communication between family, DCF, school, probation and other supports.
• May facilitate groups in accordance with standard practice.
• Maintains case records and documentation per Medicaid and licensing requirements.
• Provides crisis support and wraps around care as needed.
