Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Failure Analysis & Validation Engineer in Austin, TX to join the Hardware Validation & Engineering team. The role focuses on root-cause analysis of silicon, board, and system-level failures, with hands-on debugging of hardware, firmware, and drivers to ensure robust server platforms.

You will develop diagnostics and validation methodologies, analyze telemetry and large datasets, and support NPI activities and production investigations in a 100% onsite environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of semiconductor validation, testing, hardware debug, or failure analysis.
• Strong knowledge of GPU/CPU architectures, PCIe, memory systems, and power management.
• Experience with Python, Shell, C++, C#, or similar programming/scripting languages.
• Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, thermal cameras, and power supplies.

Responsibilities

• Perform root-cause analysis of silicon, board, and system-level failures.
• Debug hardware, firmware, drivers, operating systems, PCIe, memory, power, and thermal issues.
• Develop diagnostics, validation methodologies, stress tests, and automation tools.
• Analyze telemetry, logs, and large datasets to identify and resolve failure signatures.
• Support server platform bring-up, NPI activities, and production failure investigations.
