Merck & Co., Inc. in West Point, PA (and nearby locations) is seeking an Associate Director of Mechanical Utilities Engineering to drive global capital projects for manufacturing, R&D, and facilities utility infrastructure.

The role provides SME leadership across front-end planning, design standards, and commissioning for sterile and biologics facilities worldwide. The candidate should have 10+ years in mechanical utility systems, strong leadership, and experience with regulated pharma

Qualifications

A strong working knowledge of mechanical utility system design, engineering fundamentals, regulatory requirements, equipment sizing, specification, and system troubleshooting.
Experience with commissioning, startup and troubleshooting mechanical utility systems in Pharma/Biotech or closely related industry.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other 2D/3D design tools, with ability to produce layout, PFD, P&ID deliverables.

Responsabilités

Lead or support Mechanical Utility design efforts, providing compliant, innovative solutions that meet business needs.
Provide technical guidance to project teams during scoping and front-end planning stages across sterile, bulk biological, solid dosage and laboratory facilities globally.
Support sustainability and energy savings efforts on projects and aid in commissioning, startup, and qualification activities.
