Job summary

AV Inc. is seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to manage security programs and ensure compliance with government and company policies in a high tempo environment.

The FSO will handle personnel clearances, documentation, and compliance with NISPOM, ICDs, and DoD requirements. The successful candidate will maintain security plans, coordinate training, and liaise with DCSA and other federal agencies, while supporting HR, Contracts, and Proposals teams.

Qualifications

• Top Secret level security clearance is required; TS/SCI eligibility preferred.
• Experience with ICD705 and secure builds.
• At least 7+ years of relevant experience.
• DCSA Facility Security Officer (FSO) Certification.
• Knowledge of government security and information assurance processes.
• Experience implementing NISPOM, DCIDS, ICDs and EO to ensure security compliance.
• Provide personnel security guidance per adjudicative guidelines to manage clearances.
• Experience with protecting PII and handling sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security documentation/files per DCSA requirements.
• Maintain Facility Security Clearance documentation per DCSA.
• Manage DD-254s, sub-DD254s, and related security paperwork.
• Develop SOPs, SPPs, and Emergency Action Plans.
• Obtain regulatory rulings/interpretations for compliance.
• Provide security briefings, conduct exit/debriefings and report incidents.
• Maintain classified holdings and prepare classified transmittals per NISPOM.
• Coordinate annual refresher training and Security Vulnerability Assessments.
• Collaborate with internal/external clients on security issues per NISPOM.
• Support HR, Contracts, and Proposal teams with security guidance.
• Interpret policies for security plans and procedures.
• Maintain classification guides and government agency relationships.
• Develop/document inventory and control for classified media/documents.
• Lead security education initiatives and daily security activities.
