Job summary

ESAero in San Luis Obispo, CA is seeking an Industrial Facility Security Officer (FSO) to manage and coordinate security programs ensuring DoD and company policy compliance. The FSO will support personnel clearances, maintain security files, and align with DCSA requirements. Strong knowledge of the NISPOM and related ICDs is essential.

The role requires a TS clearance and FSO certification, with experience implementing security controls across DoD programs and interfaces with government partners.

Qualifications

• U.S. Government security clearance at Top Secret level is required.
• Experience with ICD705 or secure builds is essential.
• Minimum of 3+ years in security roles related to DoD or government.
• DCSA FSO certification is required for role eligibility.
• Strong knowledge of NISPOM, DCIDS, ICDs, and EO compliance.
• Ability to guide employees on personnel security and adjudication guidelines.
• Experience safeguarding PII and handling security documentation.
• Familiarity with DISS, NISS, NBIS, and eAPP systems.
• Proven ability to communicate with executives and government contacts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security documentation per DCSA requirements.
• Oversee Facility Security Clearance and sub-DD254s.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, SPPs, and Emergency Plans.
• Assist with security briefings, investigations, and incident reporting.
• Coordinate security education programs and refresher trainings.
• Interface with internal teams to address security issues per NISPOM.
