University at Buffalo seeks a Facility Manager to support the development and operation of the Preclinical Animal Surgery Core (PASC). The role oversees surgical, physiological, behavioral, and neurophysiology services, provides technical consultation and training, and maintains core instrumentation and platforms.

The position ensures regulatory compliance, animal welfare oversight, and high-quality customer service while collaborating with core leadership on new technologies and fee-for-service

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Physiology, Biomedical Sciences, Veterinary Sciences, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience performing survival rodent surgeries including stereotaxic procedures.
• Experience with IACUC-approved animal protocols.
• Aseptic surgical technique, anesthesia monitoring, analgesia, postoperative care.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee daily operations of surgical, physiological, behavioral and neurophysiology services.
• Provide technical consultation and training to investigators.
