Job summary

Sysco Foods in Minnesota is seeking an Operations Technician to oversee the safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance of general facility systems, ASRS, dock equipment, and refrigeration operator duties.

You will implement safety policies, troubleshoot controls and PLCs, perform preventative maintenance, and mentor junior technicians while ensuring timely repairs and adherence to regulations.

Qualifications

• Six years of industrial facility and ASRS maintenance experience or equivalent
• Refrigeration Operator I/ RETA CARO
• Refrigeration Operator II / RETA CIRO (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding and adherence to all safety policies and requirements
• Knowledge of controls and electric (high and low voltage)
• Knowledge of OSHA general industry electrical safety standards; Title 29
• Knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements
• Proficient in electrical meter testing
• Understand OSHA electrical Arc Flash requirements
• Working knowledge of PLCs and PLC troubleshooting
• Conduit bending
• Motors and motor control center knowledge
• Motor start knowledge
• Contactor and relay knowledge and repair
• Complete welding projects as needed
• Perform general building maintenance (carpentry, painting, plumbing, lighting, electrical repairs)
• Maintain facility assets via CMMS with PMs and work orders
• Daily refrigeration operator duties including ePSM inspections and logs
• Participate in on-call schedule
• Maintain tools/equipment in safe condition
• Adhere to safety PPE requirements
• Respond to emergencies to ensure safety
• Champion overall safety in department
• Comply with OSHA/regulations
• Interact effectively and mentor Facility Tech I and II
