Job summary

The Personnel Board of Jefferson County is seeking a Senior Maintenance Repair Worker to perform a variety of commercial repairs and maintenance, including electrical systems and appliances, plumbing, and heating/air conditioning systems. You will oversee and assist the work of others, schedule and coordinate tasks, and maintain supply inventories to ensure work orders are completed efficiently.

Must have a valid driver's license.
Experience performing plumbing repairs in a commercial building.
Experience performing electrical repairs in a commercial building.
Experience performing HVAC repairs in a commercial building.
Experience performing carpentry repairs in a commercial building.

Responsibilities

Assist skilled trade workers with major tasks, providing information about repairs and problems to help complete projects.
Coordinate installation and maintenance of electrical equipment to maintain a safe environment.
Manage equipment and supplies to ensure work orders are addressed on time.
Perform general building upkeep and identify unsafe conditions requiring repair.
Maintain and monitor HVAC and refrigeration systems and perform preventative maintenance.
