Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA INC in Mount Pleasant, PA, is seeking a Project Engineer to manage engineering orders for high‑voltage service products from requirements through production release. You will prepare designs, schedules, BOMs, and production instructions while coordinating with Production, Sales, and other engineers.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and 3–5 years of project engineering experience, with DTB and GIS exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• 3–5 years of project engineering or related experience.
• Experience with Dead Tank Breakers (DTB) and Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS).
• Ability to work independently and address non-complex problems with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage engineering orders from requirements through production release.
• Prepare designs, schedules, cost estimates, drawings, BOMs, and instructions.
• Collaborate with Production and Sales to support engineering orders and customer offerings.
• Support SAP part number loading and BOM creation; respond to technical inquiries.
