The Senior Facility Design Manager is key representative of the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Facilities Design Business Class within an office. The O&M Facilities Design staff provide facility programming, planning, functional design, and equipment industrial design as part of multi-discipline design teams. The Senior Facility Design Manager/Region Lead must demonstrate an ability to both manage local staff and to be a team player within a firm that is a globally recognized leader in the field.
This individual is ultimately responsible for overall project and office resource management, including budget and schedule control, communications, client, consultant, and vendor relations for all work delivered by O&M Facilities Design staff on a project. This individual oversees reviews, and approves all phases of facility-related projects from start to finish and often leads cross-functional teams across multiple time zones.
The primary duties of this position vary but are generally to provide project management, marketing, and leadership to a team of facility design specialists, engineers, and architects supporting the growth of the O&M Facilities Design team within a region and for the business class in general. Supervision experience is a plus, as this position will require the supervision of multiple employees.
O&M Facilities Design Business Class is a professional services team supporting HDR's Transportation Business Group. The primary focus of this business class is to provide professional services and specialized facility-related design services and to support delivery projects related to operations and maintenance facilities and other similar or related facility types in all market sectors within the Transportation Business Group and all other business groups. A key sector with this business group is Transit and Transit Agencies both locally and across north America and as such a key market for the O&M Facilities Design Business Class.
The Senior Facility Design Manager/Region Lead reports locally to the Area Transportation Program Manager and nationally to the Business Class Director.
