Job summary

The Building People, LLC is seeking a Senior Facility Site Accessor to support a federal client from a secure campus in Washington, DC. The candidate will assess MEP systems, energy performance, and asset lifecycle while coordinating with management and multidisciplinary teams.

Travel is expected at least 50%. The role requires an active Secret Clearance and independent, proactive work within a DoW/DHS/VA/GSA portfolio environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering professional with experience in building mechanical systems.
• Experience in facility condition assessments and energy assessments.
• Knowledge of building automation systems, cost estimating, and facility asset lifecycle management.
• Strong technical judgment, clear written and verbal communication, and ability to work independently.
• Willing to coordinate with management, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Support portfolio including DoW, DHS, VA, and GSA.
• Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct inventories and condition assessments of building and infrastructure components, focusing on MEP systems.
• Identify, classify, and document deficiencies, providing narratives of general condition.
• Recommend corrective actions to support repair, renewal, modernization, lifecycle planning, and cost estimates.
• Perform quality control of field surveys, data input, assessment findings, and report output.
• Lead regular communications with management on schedules, progress, risks, findings, and status.
• Prepare facility assessment and audit findings reports, including energy assessments.
• Review live BAS for performance data and extract relevant energy/MEP insights.
• Review cost estimates and document database modifications based on cost data.
