Job summary

YMCA of San Diego County is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to keep multiple CSS facilities safe, clean and compliant. You will support the Facilities Director with preventive maintenance, minor repairs and landscape work across San Diego County locations.

The role requires 5+ years in maintenance, OSHA 30, and ability to coordinate with contractors; in-person schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with travel across the county as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in facility maintenance, painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or related fields.
• OSHA 30 certification within 6 months of hire.
• Experience with lock out/tag out procedures.
• HVAC and electrical or lifts certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in repairs, construction projects, and upkeep of buildings (painting, roofing, fire safety, tile, minor electrical, HVAC, plumbing).
• Assist with landscape management and improvements.
• Perform extensive cleaning and housekeeping as needed.
• Maintain maintenance records for equipment and tools.
• Support safety protocols and incident response.
• Repair cardio and fitness equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
