Job summary

Houston Community College in Houston, TX seeks a highly skilled Facilities Service Technician III to install, maintain and service building operating systems. You will work under the Area Maintenance Manager on complex electrical, HVAC, plumbing and mechanical tasks, delivering safe, compliant and reliable facilities.

Qualifications

Associate degree required.
4 years relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Minimum 5 years’ work experience in facility systems operations/maintenance.
Valid Texas Driver License.

Responsibilities

Respond to facility work orders for electrical, HVAC, plumbing and structural systems.
Complete complex repairs and preventive maintenance in assigned area.
Interpret compliance requirements and standardize work.
Identify opportunities for process/system improvements and implement them.
Take readings from critical equipment and act before outages occur.
Troubleshoot life/safety, security and other building systems.
