Job summary

UG2 seeks a Program Director to oversee engineering, maintenance, and facilities services for a life sciences portfolio in Seattle. You will lead large cross-functional teams, standardize SOPs, and drive reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance across all building systems.

Responsibilities include capital planning, KPI development, and vendor management, ensuring projects are on time and within budget while upholding safety and sustainability standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years facilities management experience with 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Experience in life sciences, medical, pharmaceutical, or research facilities.
• Strong knowledge of building systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BMS, life safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation, maintenance, and repair of all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BAS, life safety, labs).
• Develop and implement SOPs for facility operations and maintenance.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure operational excellence.
• Provide technical leadership for central utility plants and critical systems.
• Develop and manage small capital projects, renovations, and upgrades.
• Prepare and manage annual operating and capital budgets; identify cost savings.
