Job summary

The Washington State Department of Social and Health Services is seeking a Facilities Senior Planner to lead design, planning, and construction initiatives for leased properties across the region, with a primary duty station in Olympia.

You will direct projects, develop statewide long- and short-range facility plans, and coordinate with regional staff, programs, DES and other partners to deliver multiple projects while ensuring compliance with building codes and environmental requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, planning, or an allied field.
• Four years of government facilities planning or related private-sector experience.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple agencies and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of building codes and policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Direct facilities design, project management, and oversee construction.
• Develop short- and long-range statewide facility plans.
• Coordinate with regional staff, programs, and owners to manage multiple projects.
• Ensure all projects meet State Environmental Policy Act and codes.
