Job summary

LEO A DALY LLC in Minneapolis is seeking a senior planner/designer to lead master planning, programming, and detailed design development of federal healthcare facilities, including hospitals and clinics. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to translate clinical and operational needs into patient-centered spaces.

You will use LEAN methodologies, coordinate with VA and other federal clients, and mentor junior staff while supporting business development for federal healthcare projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in planning federal healthcare inpatient and outpatient facilities.
• Knowledge of Whole Building Design Guide, Federal Guidelines Institute, VA TIL criteria.
• Understanding of clinical workflows and hospital adjacencies.
• Experience with VA Patient-Aligned Care Team space models is a plus.
• Knowledge of healthcare facility exterior/interior circulation, accessibility, and privacy.
• Familiarity with furnishings, fixtures, and equipment in inpatient/outpatient spaces.
• LEAN process experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead healthcare master planning, programming, and design for federal facilities.
• Coordinate with federal clients, clinical users, and project stakeholders.
• Prepare functional and space programs and conduct user interviews.
• Mentor staff and contribute to the growth of our healthcare planning practice.
• Support proposals and respond to solicitations with project write-ups.
