Job summary

Stanford University Libraries is seeking a full-time Facilities Operations Specialist 3 to join the Facilities & Planning team. The role focuses on managing and maintaining building operations and safety for a portfolio of libraries, coordinating solutions, and supporting incident management.

The position reports to the Sr Associate Director of Facilities & Planning and requires 24/7 on-call availability for emergencies. Salary details are set within approved annual budgets.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret blueprints and floor plans.
• Working knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
• Familiar with Continuous Improvement concepts (CIP).
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain building operations and safety for Stanford libraries.
• Oversee larger, complex buildings handling operations, maintenance, repair, upkeep, inventory and refurbishment.
• Read blueprints/floor plans and support incident management and root cause analysis.
• Maintain 24/7 on-call availability for emergencies.
