Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Facilities Mechanical Systems Engineer II to design, develop, and activate mechanical systems for launch and manufacturing facilities. The role is based in Huntsville, AL, with periodic travel to Kent, WA, and other sites.

You will oversee system design, calculations for HVAC and related utilities, supplier management, and safety-conscious operations to ensure mission readiness and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with complex facility design, operations and maintenance.
• Experience leading small- to medium-sized teams and managing multiple subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical systems requirements and verification.
• Manage design, analysis and development of launch support facilities.
• Oversee construction and activation of mechanical systems at launch pads.
