Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a maintenance technician to perform light maintenance, repairs, and cleaning in a safe, professional manner. The role requires reading blueprints and using meters, gauges and hand tools, with duties extending to supervising quality inspections and assisting department operations.

The position supports a rotating shift pattern (8 days on, 6 days off) with hours from 10 AM to 8 PM, and may involve on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Trade school or vocational school preferred.
• Depending on location, a valid driver's license and a good driving record may be required.

Responsibilities

• Complete light maintenance, repair and cleaning tasks in a safe, professional manner.
• Keep tools out of reach of children when working in patient/resident care areas.
• Possess advanced mechanical knowledge and competence with hand tools, meters, measuring devices and gauges.
• Work from blueprints, schematics and technical manuals as required.
• Serve as a resource to staff and assist management with department operations.
• Perform and oversee work quality inspections to ensure work orders meet engineering standards.
