Job summary

Recreation-Centers-of-Sun-City-West is seeking an Electrical/Facilities Technician to perform skilled labor in the electrical field and assist with HVAC, plumbing, and general maintenance across our recreation center facilities.

The role requires knowledge of electrical codes, one year of electrical experience, and the ability to perform a wide range of semiskilled maintenance tasks. Expect physical duties and a safety-conscious work environment at our Sun City West location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of current electrical related experience and/or training.
• Must have current knowledge of electrical codes, installation, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Working experience in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical maintenance repair.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of a preventive maintenance program.
• Maintain facilities, equipment and tools related to the assigned area; routine preventative maintenance and clean work area.
• Maintain department vehicles; perform vehicle checks (oil, tires, lights, signals).
• Follow proper safety precautions for all work performed.
• Perform general maintenance: change light bulbs, replace ballast, install/repair fixtures.
• Perform skilled electrical labor: servicing electrical panels, running circuits, adding outlets, troubleshooting shorts.
• Respond to public inquiries courteously and provide information.
• Maintain attendance and punctuality according to policy.
