Job summary

Jabil's Richardson, TX facility is seeking a Senior Facilities / Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment. You will ensure reliable operation across HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, supporting production lines and facility infrastructure.

The role requires at least 2 years in HVAC, sheet metal, refrigeration gases, and related systems, plus HVAC certification or electrical license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in HVAC, electrical, sheet metal, ductwork, and refrigeration gases.
• HVAC certification or electrical license required.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, compressor/vacuum, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Repair and replace valves, motors, controls, switches, wiring, pumps, and related components.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and monitor the air handling system.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and support equipment moves.
• Assist line configuration and equipment moves with Industrial Engineering.
• Respond to Facilities-related requests and work safely per EH&S standards.

Jabil is seeking an experienced Senior Facilities / Maintenance Technician for our growing plant in Richardson, TX.

How will you make an impact?

As a Senior Facilities / Maintenance Technician with Jabil, you will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment throughout the facility.

What will you do?

• Install and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, compressor/vacuum, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Perform routine repairs on air handling and other facility systems, including repairing and replacing valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, pipes, etc.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment related problems.
• Monitor the air handling system.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks on time.
• Install utilities to production equipment online moves.
• Add air ducts on manufacturing lines when required.
• Assist in Industrial Engineering and Machine Support in line configuration and equipment moves.
• Assemble/disassemble cubicle walls and partitions.
• Respond to requests for help from employees with Facilities-related tasks.
• Work safely at all times and comply with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices along with all other work rules.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

How will you get here?

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma Required
• At least 2 years of experience working in heating, cooling, HVAC, industrial electricity, sheet metal, ductwork, and refrigeration gases.
• HVAC Certification or Electrical License are required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Ability to work under tight deadlines with frequently changing priorities and interruptions.
• Ability to work with all A/C voltages.
• Ability to utilize advanced tools and follow procedures for maintaining and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns is required.
• Ability to read mechanical & electrical schematics, troubleshoot equipment issues is required.
• Willingness to work overtime on occasion.
