Job summary

General Health System in Baton Rouge is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Professional to participate in operation, maintenance and repair of the physical plant and equipment across all facilities. You will perform construction, repairs, and preventative maintenance, following safety guidelines and standards.

The role requires journeyman-level experience, a trade or vocational background, and proven skills in carpentry and cabinet making, with a dedication to quality and reliability in a hospital

Qualifications

• Two years experience at journeyman level preferred.
• Trade or vocational school graduate OR equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of carpentry and cabinet making.

Responsibilities

• Performs construction, repairs, preventative maintenance and installations on all assigned equipment.
• Follows GHS safety protocols for all tasks.
• Performs all other duties as required.
• Attends in-services and other meetings as required.
