Job summary

Catholic Charities Eastern Washington is seeking a Building Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems and to supervise contractors to ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role requires 5–7 years in building maintenance, a valid driver’s license, and strong organizational skills. Work primarily on-site with responsibilities including move-ins, safety, and facility improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5-7 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
• Full proficiency in a broad range of maintenance and repair activities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow safety standards and work in compliance with building codes.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Address safety and waste management system issues as required.
• Complete basic facilities maintenance tasks, such as painting, drywall repair, carpentry, and fixture installations.
• Assist with various facility projects and coordinate facility improvements.
• Log and track maintenance activities using a work order system.
• Maintain professional and respectful communication with residents, addressing maintenance requests through the established work order system.
• Coordinate with the Facilities Manager on move-ins and move-outs, maintaining a schedule for timely apartment make-readies.
• Supervise all work performed by outside contractors, ensure satisfactory completion, and keep the Property Manager informed.
