Job summary

Harvard University Central Administration is seeking an Area Maintenance Supervisor to lead a multi-trade team responsible for mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and building systems across Harvard campuses. You will partner with facilities managers to align maintenance with client needs and energy performance goals.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts state trade license or Mass Maritime Degree required or equivalent.
• Engineering degree preferred with relevant maintenance background.
• Minimum five years supervising trades personnel in a complex campus setting.
• Experience with CMMS and energy efficiency programs is desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and supervise a multi-trade team to repair and operate building systems.
• Inspect work, set quality standards, and manage attendance and performance.
• Diagnose equipment issues and optimize building performance and energy use.
• Maintain CMMS work orders and ensure accurate descriptions and timely actions.
• Prepare price proposals, manage vendor contracts, and oversee project work.
