Job summary

The Division of Administration/Office of State Buildings oversees maintenance and repair activities for all state buildings, including work performed by outside contractors in the Monroe area. This role directly supervises Maintenance Repairer Master positions and may assume responsibilities of the Facility Maintenance Manager A in their absence.

Qualifications

• Two years of on-the-job experience in building trades or maintenance.
• Completion of a two-year vocational program in general building construction plus two years experience.
• Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering plus two years experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance and preventive maintenance on state building systems and machinery.
• Maintains maintenance records and prepares purchase requests.
• Oversees work by outside contractors and ensures contract compliance.
• Directly supervises Maintenance Repairer Master.
• Assists in inspection of capital projects and ensures quality.
• Performs annual property control inventory.
