Job summary

New York State Center for Recruitment & Public Service seeks a Maintenance Supervisor 2 to supervise maintenance, repair, and alterations for state facilities. You will oversee contractors, manage staff, and provide technical direction while ensuring compliance with DMNA policies and federal/state regulations.

Travel and overtime may be required in this essential role. Applicants should have strong MS Office skills, the ability to read blueprints, and proven supervisory experience in building

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel; experience with databases.
• Working knowledge of applicable codes, safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret facility plans, blueprints and manuals.
• Must be able to read/write English; good verbal/written communication.
• Ability to supervise subordinates and coordinate teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate maintenance, repair, and alterations for facilities.
• Supervise staff and contractors; ensure contract compliance.
• Provide technical direction and hands-on assistance to staff.
• Assist in developing SOPs for locations/facilities where assigned.
• Budget input and management of maintenance funding; coordinate with DMNA MNBF.
