Job summary

Monroe Group Ltd. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to supervise and coordinate maintenance staff, groundskeepers and housekeepers, ensuring safe, reliable building operation across all systems.

The role covers electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and related tasks, with emphasis on preventive maintenance and vendor oversight. Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least 3 years of maintenance experience, with a preference for HVAC and affordable-housing environment

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
3 years of maintenance technician experience including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.
HVAC experience preferred; technical training or license preferred.

Responsibilities

Complete maintenance requests promptly according to work orders.
Perform electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, and HVAC repairs as needed.
Prepare vacant apartments to Monroe Group standards (vendor coordination, painting, cleaning, appliance replacement).
Maintain records of replacements and inventory for cost control.
Assist in monitoring work by outside contractors and on-call maintenance duties.
Assist with annual inspections (backflow, elevators, fire panel tests).
