Job summary

Walmart in Alpena, MI is seeking a Senior General Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform major and minor repairs on facilities equipment and oversee junior associates. The role demands expertise across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other trades, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and quick response to repairs.

You will diagnose issues by inspecting and testing equipment, manage work orders, and support store operations.

Qualifications

• Must have 5 years in one of trades (plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment) or 7 years in one of these trades.
• Valid driver's license with clean MVR
• Vocational/Technical certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills and hand/power tools.
• Use work order system to receive and document repair work orders for stores and associates.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities/equipment to diagnose issues.
• Complete training to operate equipment and tools safely.
