Job summary

Walmart is expanding its facilities team and seeks a Senior General Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair stores and regional facilities. You will use plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and equipment skills to complete jobs with tools and systems support.

The role requires extensive hands-on work, driving, and the ability to work at heights in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma and certification plus 5 years in related trades are expected.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass MVR
• Vocational or Technical certification and 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
• 1 year's experience using intermediate-level word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Can lift up to 75 lbs
• Can Move up and down ladders frequently
• Comfortable working at heights frequently

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment) and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment
• Use the work order system to receive repair Work Orders and document repair activities
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete training to operate equipment and tools safely
