Job summary

Blue Origin in Merritt Island, FL seeks a facilities technician to maintain HVAC and building systems across our large campus. You will respond to trouble calls, support events, and help ensure safe, reliable operations in a high-tech space environment.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, use hand tools and shop equipment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Prolonged standing and walking in indoor/outdoor environments.
• Ability to work with little supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance around the building (structural, doors/windows, walls).
• Repair plumbing to prevent water damage and restore fixtures.
• Repair electrical wiring issues as needed.
• Maintain HVAC equipment for climate control.
• Manage and track service tickets with timely resolution.
• Support company events and assist with facility-related projects.
• Install, repair, and maintain fixtures and furnishings.
• Identify and mitigate safety hazards to ensure compliance.
• Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Assist with facility improvements (painting, sealing, minor construction).
