Job summary

Walla Walla County is seeking a Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician to oversee grounds and facilities at the Fairgrounds. You will perform indoor and outdoor maintenance, planting, spraying, pruning, irrigation and landscape upkeep under the supervision of the Fairgrounds Manager.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of related experience in grounds and building maintenance, including equipment operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year experience maintaining grass, trees, shrubs, buildings and operating related equipment.
• Four years of increasingly responsible maintenance experience including irrigation, chemical application and landscape knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds and facilities both indoors and outdoors.
• Assist with grounds projects, planting, spraying, pruning, irrigating and landscape upkeep.
• Operate grounds equipment safely and perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Follow supervision of the Fairgrounds Manager and adhere to county policies.
