Job summary

Ohio State University is seeking a Facilities Engineering Manager to lead the Maintenance Engineering Group within Administration and Planning. You will direct day-to-day activities and troubleshoot building systems to ensure reliable operations.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and knowledge of contract management, mechanical and electrical equipment, and preventive maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related technical field or equivalent education/experience.
• 5 years of relevant engineering experience and a valid Driver's License.
• Knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical equipment and building systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and supervision for day-to-day and planned activities of Maintenance Engineering Group.
• Troubleshoot building system operation and maintenance problems.
• Maintain equipment histories for assigned areas.
• Review plans and specifications for projects.
• Oversee repairs and construction for operations concerns and lifecycle costs.
• Provide oversight of the preventive maintenance program.
• Recommend improvements to building systems based on data and best practices.
