Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim Athens facility is seeking a Principal Engineer, Facilities to operate and maintain the site utilities network, including water systems, steam, HVAC, and power generators. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams to improve reliability and support vaccine manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering plus 5+ years of maintenance/engineering experience.
• Knowledge of EHS requirements; OSHA knowledge preferred.
• Working knowledge of BI processes and Site/Local Policies.
• Ability to manage multi-disciplinary disciplines and regulatory environments.
• Hands-on experience with utilities systems (water, steam, HVAC, generators).
• Strong cross-functional teamwork with Safety, Quality, Maintenance, Purchasing, Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliable operation of all utilities on site.
• Analyze systems for capacity, economics, and sustainable design.
• Manage site obsolescence program and lifecycle evaluations.
• Develop and optimize PM scope, calibration, and spare parts inventory.
• Serve as SME in capital projects and lead small projects.
• Oversee maintenance by outside contractors.
• Coordinate site shutdown planning and execution.
