Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Facility Engineer to lead maintenance and reliability across five industrial buildings in multiple locations. You will drive capital improvements, manage utilities and infrastructure, and coordinate contractors to keep operations safe and efficient.

Your background includes a Bachelor's in an engineering discipline and at least 5 years in industrial facilities with strong project management and CMMS experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline as listed.
• Minimum 5 years supporting industrial facilities or related environments.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience using CMMS MaintainX.
• Ability to develop and control project budgets and capex.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support facility operations across five buildings.
• Lead facility improvement projects from concept to closeout.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Monitor capital and expense spending within approved budgets.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Identify and follow up on facility issues from leadership and production.
• Support utility systems including electrical distribution, HVAC, and building security.
• Maintain active security systems and change management processes.
• Conduct facility assessments to identify reliability improvements and energy savings.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and corporate requirements.
• Develop engineering solutions for infrastructure upgrades and installations.
• Manage contractor safety programs and verify site standards.
• Analyze facility performance metrics and drive improvements.
• Support emergency response activities related to facilities.
• Maintain accurate project documentation.
