Job summary

Compass Group USA's ESFM division seeks an on-site Chief Engineer to lead the delivery of Integrated Facilities Management for a high-density Amazon facility. You will provide technical leadership, manage a team, and ensure safe, reliable building performance and business continuity.

You will oversee compliance with regulatory standards, coordinate with vendors, and drive preventive maintenance for critical infrastructure. Strong engineering background and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or military experience is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations.
• Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
• Must be capable of reading electrical schematics, mechanical, and plumbing blue prints.
• Proficient in Windows-based Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safety of all operating equipment within the facility.
• Develop and train all staff in plant and emergency procedures.
• Handle the procurement of all repair parts for routine preventative and emergency repairs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors.
• Develop a plant-wide Preventative maintenance schedule for all building, process equipment, and all plant utilities.
• Maintain the departmental budget with focus on parts, supplies and labor management.
• Assure compliance with all wastewater and emissions standards.
• Oversee outside contractors in the repairs and upkeep of plant equipment.
• Available for off-site startups and special projects.
