Job summary

Compass Group USA's ESFM division seeks a Chief Engineer to lead the on-site engineering team at a Greencastle, PA facility, delivering integrated facilities management and hard services for critical infrastructure.

The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and business continuity, with strong leadership and hands-on technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. Prior Amazon facility experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
• Experience leading on-site engineering teams
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety of all operating equipment in the facility
• Develop and train staff in plant and emergency procedures
• Handle procurement of repair parts for preventative and emergency repairs
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships
• Create and manage a plant-wide preventive maintenance schedule
• Maintain departmental budget for parts, supplies and labor
• Ensure regulatory compliance for wastewater and emissions
• Oversee outside contractors for repairs and upkeep
• Available for off-site startup and special projects
