Job summary

OraSure Technologies Inc. (OTI) seeks a Senior Facilities Engineer to design, operate, and continuously improve facility infrastructure, including HVAC, cleanrooms, and support systems, ensuring GMP compliance for manufacturing, research, and administrative operations.

You will manage preventive maintenance, capital projects, vendor relations, and cross-functional teams, while developing lifecycle strategies to drive safety, reliability, and cost efficiency across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–10+ years of facilities engineering experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, including HEPA filtration.
• Experience with BMS, EMS, CMMS, or ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Experience with commissioning, and qualification processes.
• Experience in cleanroom environments (pharma, biotech, or medical device).
• GMP experience.
• Strong leadership and team development.
• Problem-solving and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead operation, maintenance, and optimization of HVAC systems supporting cleanroom environments.
• Maintain control of temperature, humidity, airflow, pressurization, and filtration.
• Support HEPA certification activities for multiple facilities.
• Manage building systems through BMS/EMS platforms.
• Lead PM program for critical systems.
• Develop lifecycle asset management strategies.
• Oversee daily building operations and maintenance.
• Lead facility and HVAC-related capital projects.
• Source, negotiate, and oversee third-party service providers.
• Lead and develop facilities and HVAC teams.
• Promote safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
