Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Facilities Engineer to maintain and improve chemical handling systems and infrastructure at our North Carolina site in Pineville. You will specify equipment, oversee procurement and installation, and ensure safe handling of hazardous chemicals in compliance with regulations.

The role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, 7+ years in manufacturing, and the ability to lead projects independently while working cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, and Engineering

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
At least 7 years of experience in a similar manufacturing role.
Experience with hazardous chemicals and chemical handling systems preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capability.
Proven ability to manage projects independently within a plant environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain and improve chemical handling systems and infrastructure.
Provide equipment specifications and oversee procurement and installation.
Handle hazardous chemicals, ensuring safe storage, usage, and disposal.
Diagnose and support plant/process equipment with strong troubleshooting.
Independently manage projects within a plant environment with minimal disruption.
Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, Engineering, contractors/vendors.
Regularly inspect facilities and systems to identify potential problems.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
