Job summary

Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart - Omaha is seeking a Senior Engineer to support the Director of Buildings and Grounds. You will supervise maintenance staff, perform repairs across the campus, and manage preventative maintenance for HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems while coordinating with IT for documentation and system upgrades.

• Experience with HVAC systems and building controls.
• Flexibility to work events and emergency situations.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Buildings and Grounds in maintenance planning and supervision.
• Perform repairs on building, grounds, or equipment as needed.
• Supervise maintenance engineers; ensure materials and tools are available.
• Review pest control procedures and coordinate licensed services.
• Monitor and adjust building temperature to maintain comfort; report issues.
• Oversee major equipment operation and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Prepare areas for events, including furniture and equipment setup.
• Ensure compliance with fire, health, and insurance inspectors.
• Maintain school vehicles and related systems.
• Coordinate with IT for documentation and contract repairs to facilities systems.
