Job summary

Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart Inc. in Houston seeks a Lead Facilities Technician to ensure the campus environment operates efficiently and safely. You will oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimization of facilities, equipment, and tools while guiding maintenance staff.

The role requires occasional evening and weekend work and involves leading repairs to HVAC and kitchen equipment, training technicians, and maintaining data for Operations to support a high‑quality learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC systems and building automation logic (BAS).
• Working knowledge of NFPA, Building Codes and standards.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn systems and software (Microsoft suite, CMMS).
• Experience with new technologies and cutting-edge methods in facilities management.

Responsibilities

• Manage the workflow and work order system for repairs and preventive maintenance, ensuring timely quality.
• Perform quality control checks and safety inspections.
• Maintain and troubleshoot building automation systems (BAS).
• Conduct training for technicians on maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
• Supervise and perform repairs and installation to mechanical equipment, including HVAC and industrial kitchen equipment.
• Maintain relevant data and statistics for Operations.
• Support school event coordination.
• Other duties as assigned.
