Job summary

SolveNow Inc. in Wilton, CT is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Professional to lead the design and evaluation of building electrical systems, including power distribution to end use.

The role requires collaboration with client owners and on-site teams, reviewing vendor submittals, and delivering scope of work and basis of design documents through the programming process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems, including distribution to end use.
• Solid knowledge and application of NFPA 70, 70E, 72, 101, 110, building codes, energy codes, and related standards such as IEEE and ASHRAE.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and leadership experience.
• Knowledge of specifications and selection of electrical equipment and hardware.
• Experience with PLC, DCS, and other controls applications.
• Experience reviewing vendor submittals against client requirements and specs.
• Field experience with subcontractors and construction personnel.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, evaluate, and prepare recommendations with basis of design (BOD) and scope of work (SOW) documents.
• Oversee engineering and construction for facility power distribution up to 13.8 kV, grounding, lighting, and life safety systems.
• Retrofit of existing buildings and integration of new systems.
• Coordinate with client owners and on-site personnel to support projects of varying size and complexity.
• Review vendor submittals and ensure compliance with project requirements.
