Job summary

Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago is seeking a Construction Project Manager to implement strategic goals for facilities project management and to support policy development within the organization.

The role involves managing construction of facilities, coordinating with architects and contractors, and reporting progress to leadership. The candidate should have at least an associates degree or equivalent experience and 7+ years in project management.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or experience equivalency, and a minimum of 7 years' experience.
• Experience managing/coordinating multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction of facilities, new construction and buildouts, coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors and consultants.
• Interface with internal business units and external contractors for communication, scheduling and implementation of project sets.
• Report weekly progress to project management team, leadership, and internal clients; identify issues and negotiate resolution with urgency.
• Source equipment, parts and services related to facilities maintenance.
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
• Provide leadership and strategies to build trust and growth among team members.
• Provide specialist knowledge, training, and support to improve project delivery and business cases.
• Adhere to project quality control policies to drive high performance.
• Establish realistic project timelines and plan paths to success.
• Lead and develop talent; provide training to coworkers or others.
• Manage low to moderately complex projects; articulate outcomes and plan work; lead or support project roles.
• Effectively communicate with stakeholders and manage change impacting the team.
• Assess impacts when managing projects and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge in the field of specialization and organization's technologies.
