Surface Design Group, a Milrose Consultants company, seeks a Sr. Façade Consultant / Project Manager to lead Local Law 11/FISP inspections and façade restoration projects in NYC.

You will act as the primary client liaison, overseeing investigations, repairs, and close‑out with a hands‑on approach and adherence to NYC Building Code. You will manage design and construction administration, prepare technical reports, and coordinate with DOB filings while guiding budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience independently managing architectural, façade restoration, or building envelope projects from planning through close‑out.
• Hands‑on Local Law 11/FISP experience including façade inspections and reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience developing façade repair documents (drawings, details, specs) and overseeing repair work through construction administration.
• Working knowledge of NYC Building Code, DOB filings, and façade compliance including SWARMP/Unsafe reporting.
• Strong technical writing, client management, communication, and organizational skills.
• NYC DOB Scaffold User Certifications (4‑hour and 16‑hour) or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Lead medium to large façade and building envelope projects from planning through final close‑out.
• Lead Local Law 11/FISP façade inspections and condition assessments with scaffold inspections.
• Prepare FISP technical reports and coordinate DOB filings; develop repair documents and oversee remedial work.
• Advise owners on façade compliance, deadlines, repair priorities and budgets.
• Manage façade restoration and rehabilitation, as well as new construction and adaptive reuse projects.
• Serve as primary client liaison ensuring clear communication and documentation.
• Consult on roofing and sub‑grade waterproofing scopes.
• Oversee production of technical drawings and project documents (façade system design, detailing, specs, AutoCAD drawings).
• Ensure QC and compliance with project specs and NYC Building Code.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and site inspection reports.
• Troubleshoot field issues and implement timely solutions.
