Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, Fabrication COE, to serve as a technical sheet metal fabrication expert. The role focuses on process optimization, make-versus-buy decisions, DFM reviews, and capacity improvements within the ARS Fabrication Center of Excellence.

Responsibilities include managing FMS in automated environments, equipment development, MES integration, and supporting new product launches with MLR processes. Strong leadership and Lean Six Sigma knowledge are valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process development and capital management.

Responsibilities

Lead projects to optimize fabrication processes and equipment.
Manage Flexible Manufacturing Systems (FMS) in highly automated fabrication environments.
Assess and select fabrication equipment including lasers, presses, and panel benders.
Develop specs for new fabrication equipment and automation.
Support design-for-manufacturing reviews with design engineering.
Participate in DFM reviews for components and assemblies.
Contribute to safety programs for press brakes and fabrication operations.
Assist with Manufacturing Launch Readiness and process maps.
