Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an engineer to own internal bulk gas/liquid/drain capacity reviews and act as a first-level reviewer for retrofit/expansion projects across various air, water, exhaust, and drain systems. The role includes evaluating early design requirements, troubleshooting facility utility operations, and managing retrofit projects through construction.

Responsibilities include field walks, pipe routing analysis, cost and schedule planning, and documentation control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil) required or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of design or equipment/utility installation experience; semiconductor facility support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand utility drawings in AutoCAD.
• Gas/liquid lateral design in AutoCAD for new tool expansion needs.
• Execute in-factory field walks during early design to evaluate pipe routing and interference risks.
• Build out cost and schedule requirements for utility retrofits.
• Project management and tracking of factory retrofit utility work execution.
• Document control of piping specs and flow models for bulk utilities.
• Review tool installation packages for fitting/piping size, flow and pressure accuracy.
