Job summary

Lamb Weston in Twin Falls, ID is seeking a Fab Mechanic III to support fabrication, assembly and installation for the maintenance department. The role focuses on keeping equipment running and improving production efficiencies.

You will weld, fabricate metal structures, adjust equipment, and work with mild steel, aluminum and stainless steel, with safety and quality standards. A high school diploma is required; lock-out/tag-out certification is preferred; 1 year related experience.

Qualifications

• 1 year related experience in fabrication and welding.
• Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to be qualified within time frames established by facility.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Assists in fabricating metal structures and process piping; adjusts and assembles equipment from raw materials.
• Makes modifications and performs upkeep on existing equipment.
• Assists with line designs and comments on proposed changes and equipment.
• Performs a full range of basic welding and fabricating duties; fabricates and repairs industrial equipment.
• Operates and maintains metal fabrication equipment and tools.
• Reviews plant equipment needs with maintenance crew and management.
• Repairs, overhauls, fabricates, disassembles, re-assembles, and moves equipment in and out of the plant.
