Job summary
Telnet, Inc. is seeking a Senior F5 Engineer to manage a distributed, cloud-integrated F5 BIG-IP estate.
You will design, configure, and optimize LTM, DNS/GTM, and WAF/ASM to ensure scalable, high-availability application delivery across hybrid cloud environments. You will mentor junior engineers, automate workflows with Python/Ansible, and tune security policies while collaborating with multiple vendors and platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years in medium to large enterprise network/infrastructure environments with hands-on F5 BIG-IP depth.
- Experience with F5 BIG-IP administration and optimization.
- Experience with automation: Python, Ansible, Git.
- F5 Distributed Cloud / SaaS WAF experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and security fundamentals.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and optimize F5 BIG-IP solutions (LTM, DNS/GTM, WAF/ASM) matching OKRs.
- Establish automated monitoring and alerting to reduce MTTR.
- Mentor Level I/II engineers and codify F5 best practices.
- Harden security with WAF policies and TLS certificate lifecycle management.
- Lead root-cause analysis for P1/P2 incidents and automate remedies.
- Leverage AI insights to optimize performance and capacity planning.
