Job summary

System One seeks a Senior F5 Network Engineer to lead enterprise F5 BIG-IP LTM and GTM/DNS engineering in a hybrid work model across Lafayette, LA, Knoxville, TN, Columbia, SC, or Birmingham, AL.

You will own complex F5 configurations, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate on modernization efforts using Terraform, Ansible, and cloud networking in AWS/Azure/GCP environments. Strong troubleshooting and peer mentoring are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of F5 BIG-IP experience in enterprise environments.
• Deep hands-on F5 LTM and GTM/DNS expertise.
• Strong understanding of load balancing, high availability and security.
• Experience with virtualization, hardware migrations, and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior F5 BIG-IP SME with LTM and GTM/DNS ownership.
• Manage complex F5 configurations: virtual servers, pools, monitors and profiles.
• Troubleshoot production traffic, DNS, SSL/TLS, and performance issues.
• Lead modernization efforts, migrations, patches, and hardening.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other engineers.
