Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a skilled F5 Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain F5-based solutions ensuring security, availability, and scalability of enterprise applications and network infrastructure.

The role requires hands-on experience with BIG-IP, LTM, APM, GTM/DNS, iRules, WAF, and automation using Ansible or Python. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and resiliency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience with F5 technologies, including BIG-IP modules like LTM, APM, and GTM/DNS.
• Proficiency in creating and troubleshooting iRules.
• Strong understanding of Layer 4-7 traffic management, HTTP protocols, and SSL/TLS encryption.
• Experience with F5 WAF and security policies.
• Familiarity with network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP/HTTPS.
• Knowledge of automation tools like Ansible, Python, or REST APIs for F5 management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy F5 BIG-IP solutions, including LTM, DNS, and APM.
• Design and deploy SAML/OIDC authentication methods.
• Configure and manage advanced iRules and policies.
• Optimize performance with load balancing, SSL offloading, and traffic routing.
• Troubleshoot F5 devices to ensure high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate F5 solutions.
• Monitor F5 devices and applications using analytics tools.
• Implement F5 WAF configurations to protect against threats.
• Automate routine F5 tasks using APIs, Ansible, or other tools.
• Maintain and update F5OS, documentation, policies, and procedures.
• Stay updated on latest F5 technologies.
